Bought this a few months ago and haven't used it. It wasn't until yesterday that I finally took it out of the box. Having to prove to fellow mechanics that the ECM we received was inferior compared to the vehicle system. This kit makes the ECM, my scan tool, and scope very plug and play. When we tested it, the tools sitting on the bench made my senior machinist's head spin. Get to the next level!

Would have given it 5 stars had it not been delivered with a piece rattling around inside it. I must add that could of happened from delivery. Regardless it works without issues and not only am I able to now safely probe around instead of mangling the DLC..... But I was able to "code" a VW gateway and saved myself $550.00 that the dealer wanted to do the same thing. Great product.

I did cars and automotive computer system issues for years and made my own breakout boxes that were so crude by comparison. This tool is really nicely made and doest feel cheap. Wish I would have had one of these years ago. My only complaint it the 12volt power supply for the breakout box is a 110v to 12v power supply. I used to specialize in fixing intermittent drivability issues. Back then I would hook into all different circuits and have wires and hoses tapped to the window that ran from under the hood to the interior so I could drive and catch problems when they occurred. Would be nice if this breakout box had a 12v to 12v power supply so you don't have to take an inverter with you if you want to drive and test. Maybe with new systems you don't need to do that anymore. Been out of the business a long time now. Bought the tool for my own cars and my family's.

This breakout box will immensely help if you are trying to diagnose an issue with your ECM/PCM or any module! All you have to do is wire the module directly to the breakout box. Yes you need to know what is power and grounds on the module but that’s easy with Mitchell on demand DIY. Once wired, hook up you scan tool and it should read. If it doesn’t then the module is fried. If it does then you know the problem isn’t the ECM. It saves tons of money especially on older modules that the dealers say they’re obsolete.

Just the build quality is quite impressive and layout and other functions = awesome

there nothing on how to use it anyone can plug it in but how it tells you what for what other then ground s still trying to find info on it

There were no owner manual. You are on your own. When tracking down a CAN BUS comm fault, it will save you a lot of time.

Bought this a few months ago to expand my troubleshooting capabilities. Yesterday I finally broke it out of the box. Had to prove to a fellow mechanic that the ecm we'd been sent was bad vs the vehicle systems. This kit made it all very plug and play with the ecm, my scantool, and an oscilloscope. And the tools laid out on the bench while we tested it made my senior mechanics head spin off. Next level gained!
